June Solstice Ritual: A Day Of Light
The June Solstice arrives on June 21st, turning our attention to the replenishing light of the Sun. Every year in the Northern Hemisphere, the start of Cancer Season coincides with the start of Summer, while our friends in the Southern Hemisphere are welcoming Winter. Both seasons are here to help you slow down and welcome the energy of nourishment. The cycle of the Sun represents the cycle of our lives and reflects the natural flow of energy moving inward and outward. Just like we align every month with the flow of the Moon, we also can align with the Sun's journey throughout the four seasons.
It's no coincidence that Cancer season is a time to slow down, recharge our spirit, and concentrate on all forms of self-love. The Summer Solstice is a day of light and a reminder that the light always exists. Use this day to practice your rituals and connect with the energy of the sun. If you want to dive deeper into this Summer Solstice Practice, the Cancer New Moon + Season Workbook is still available for instant download.

Step One: Honor the Four Directions
Start by positioning a candle at each of the four directions: East, South, West, and North. Before beginning, state that you are open to receiving guidance and intuition, and opening your consciousness.
Light each candle as you face that direction while closing your eyes and meditating on that direction’s energy. Continue through all directions, and then you can journal about what each one brought to you.
Step Two: Set Summer Intentions
The June Solstice is an energetically charged day and a very important day to set intentions. Direct your intentions to the themes of today: patience, nourishment, and trust. The Cancer New Moon + Season Workbook dives deeper into the intention setting process for today and the New Moon on June 28th, plus guidance throughout the whole season.
Step Three: Express Gratitude
Expressing gratitude is the best way to start every day, but especially on a solstice. Write gratitude statements for everything you already possess and everything you want to attract into your life. The Daily Journal is a great tool for manifestation, helping you set short and long term intentions between the New and Full Moons, and anchoring each day with positivity.
Practice these rituals the morning of the Summer Solstice and feel yourself nourishing the light within you. Be sure to spend some time feeling the Sun's rays on your face and standing fully in the light of the Sun. However you enjoy this day, I hope it brings peace, love, and clarity to your soul.
